Uncertainty Analysis Methodology for Measurements of Dynamic Millimeter-Wave Channels

Quantification of uncertainties in the results channel sounding measurements is important for their interpretation and further usage. In this paper, a novel uncertainty analysis methodology to quantify condensed parameters dynamic millimeter-wave channels presented. The bandwidth limitation multipath threshold are identified as impairments. Therefore, provides three metrics parameters, namely standard impact random variations; bias due threshold; total including limitation. These highly dependent. proposed creates reference channels, which representative corresponding measured channels. Hardware processing impairments included via Monte Carlo simulation. This general that can both static any wideband sounder. implemented, verified demonstrated TU/e sounder, exemplifies how it be used. improve analysis, reporting measurement results.
